On-call Policy

Priority of this Policy

This policy amends and replaces the former On-Call Policy approved by the Board of Directors, October 17,1994.

Article 1:            Candidacy

1.1     A candidate for the On-Call Committee shall have been a member of Windmill Line for at least one year. The Board may waive or vary the one-year requirement in a particular case, if there are adequate grounds for doing so.

1.2     Prior to the confirmation as a new trainee for the On-Call Committee, the names of interested candidates shall be approved by the committee, General Manager and the President. This   approval   will   not   be unreasonably withheld. This decision may be appealed to the Board of Directors.

Article 2:            Appointment

2.1    Members of On-Call shall be appointed by the Board of Directors on the recommendation of the On-Call Committee.

Article 3:            Training

3.1     Members of On-Call shall complete mandatory fire procedure training, in a form acceptable to the General Manager, as a condition of retaining an existing appointment or of being newly appointed to the On-Call Committee.
